When designing a restaurant lighting is the most import element to consider. Using a range of uplighting, down lighting and table lighting can take a restaurant mood from a vibrant busy lunch time to a cosy intimate dinner sitting.

Colour is also used in a cleaver way as it created emotion for the customer, for example yellow creates joy where as Black is power. It is also a very personal thing, which can be bad if customers are put off by the interior colour of your restaurant.
