Before and After - London project
The Design
We finished a project last year before covid 19, which we wanted to share the before and after transformation.
We had an extremely tight budget and set the task to make the flat more durable and contemporary for the holiday let market. Other than the bathrooms and kitchen the flat had the same white carpet throughout and in the high traffic areas of the entrance hall and the combined sitting and dinging room it looked tired and dirty.
We specified a luxury vinyl floor covering which would be durable, easy to clean and in line with the buildings acoustic regulations. We removed a few items of furniture we thought made the flat look dark and replaced them with light and simple designed furniture. For the dining area we added shelving and a bench seat so the dining table could have it’s own designated area and made the living space fell more generous.
Most of the soft furnishings and furniture came from high street shops like Ikea and H&M home which offer great furnishings for reasonable prices and by carefully selecting a colour scheme it pulled the old and new together.
